Ugh! I have big lips, a small nose, and weird ears. There are lots of thing we call flaws, and if we don't point them out then most times others do. But we hardly take time to recognize that these truly aren't flaws, these things are what distinguish personality, and individuality, they make us who we are. They make me different and stand out from others. We usually take this negatively but it shouldn't be, most times people are drawn to unique, and different people because they see past our imperfection or they see them as improvements that enhance our appearance.
Another misconception that I've noticed is that teen girls seem to think that makeup makes them beautiful or that guys won't notice them , if they don't wear it. When this is the total opposite. I see a lot of girls with a glob of blush, and eyeliner, and mascara, on and it looks so dark and unapproachable, when really I think they want to be noticed and look older, but it has the total opposite affect. Makeup isn't what makes you beautiful but it enhances the god given beauty you already have. Now I'm not anti makeup it does have it's place, but when you wear it to young or to heavy it doesn't ever look right in my opinion(which is subject to change). 13yrs and up is the right age to wear heavy eye/face makeup any younger is not mature enough,( now if you already wear makeup and am younger than 12 I'm not judging you or saying your not mature ).

What is Fashion????
SO... What is fashion. We all have some notion or idea of what fashion really means.Whether it's magazines, models, or they way celebrities dress we all have an idea of what it is. I want to define what fashion is according to Gods standards not my assumption or thinking because I 'm nowhere near perfect, even on my good days. So according to the dictionary fashion is : etiquette, manners, style of dress, socializing, appearance, chic. And I believe that this definition is in agreement with Gods standards.
Fashion is the inside character showing to your outer appearance. And in case you didn't know that God was in to fashion, I'm telling you he is.
From my study of his word I never thought he cared about the way I dressed except what people kept telling me. The same old dress modestly... People that are in my circles thought that this was the only part of fashion God cared about, but thank the lord it's not, he cares about the specific way and style that you dress. In Ex 28:39 he tells the priests to dress in a way that expresses beauty and glory. I love this because it not only show that God cares about the way you dress but he also wants you to do it stylishly. Not T's and jeans all the time (even though their comfy) but shine bright for him, draw attention for him, not for your self or to become puffed up, but to glorify him.
Another assumption is that fashion is only for girls, and that guys have the excuse to slack off and not shine their brightest. This is the biggest Lie in the history of lies that I've ever heard. Now I know that shopping, and spending lots of time in the mirror is not most guys ideal but you don't have to shop often to go from drab to AMAZING. It's really not that hard but does take effort and if most of your outfits not all are graphic tee's and denim then this blog is for you (and please STOP wearing that). Guy's I'm calling you out and dare you to to step up your wardrobe if you want to stand out from other guys and look awesome while doing it then change the way you dress.0
Ps. there are no pic's right now but are coming about post 6 or so.
PPs. If your a christian teen guy or girl and you want practical ways to honor god while looking great then this is defiantly for you.
