How to achieve the layered look in 5 minute

First you have to know exactly how many layers you want in your outfit  2 to 6.

1.The base layer is your tee shirt or tank top  this layer is for warmth not style.

Why Is It Important to Develop a Personal Fashion Style?

Oh, the reasons are many but it's mainly to feel and look good! Creating your unique style helps you achieve a sense of confidence and comfort in how you put together an outfit. This sets you apart from the rest - the awkward-looking fashion victims you see out there on the street and in the cookie-cutter media.

Fashion and style are two different things but similar in so many ways
Fashion is about looks and image that are popular in a specific time and period. Style on the other hand, is more about expressing your individuality through clothes, and it doesn't have an expiration date. It's more REAL.
Fashion gives you the inspiration, ideas and the nudge to dare - and style is what you make out of it.

It takes a lot of trial and error to find your personal clothing style, so don't worry about making mistakes along the way. In fact, developing your personal fashion style is a journey not a destination. Experimenting and just having fun help you get to know yourself better :-)

Style = Individuality

Once you connect with your core fashion persona, your style will improve and you'll look fabulous. This will radiate through the way you dress. You'll feel good and and a be confidant with your beauty.

Question 1.

Your personality is often a strong indicator of your fashion persona. For example, a timid, soft-spoken personality usually gravitates towards delicate, romantic pieces. An adventurous and relaxed gal would most likely dress casual and sportier, probably more urban than the other girl .

Accessories are your best Friend

I've studied a lot on this subject and this is on of the simplest most powerful step to getting ready that most of us don't do because of time. I can't possibly convey how important this is.   Now in  a perfect world this would be not to much, but not to little. But finding that sweet spot can be difficult .  In a book I discovered a unique system an number this seemed to be 16.  This is kinda' big and not for everyone, if sixteen accessories overwhelms you the stick with around 12 both of these apply to guy's. You may be thinking ( Is she insane )  I can only think of about 3 well let's list off about 14-20 accessories not for every occasion but for you to pick and choose, ladies first.  I'll go from head to toe.

Hat, hair, Hair accessories,  sunglasses,  Makeup,  earrings,  necklace, scarf, pin,  tanks,  jacket/blazer,  fragrance,  bracelets point per each,  bag,  rings,  nails, belt,  socks,  shoes. This not overwhelming when done right when choosing multiple go with similar colors.

Hat, hair,  sunglasses, scarf, pin,  jacket/blazer,  fragrance,  bracelets point per each,  wallet,  rings, belt,  socks,  shoes,  tanks. Okay so what if you have less you should still step it up a notch.

Adding each of these is a great way to upgrade you wardrobe but it's still inexpensive . If you can just add a little touch it speaks volumes.

Fashion Hates: homeschool denim

Fashion Hates: homeschool denim

Now for those of you who don't know what homeschool denim  is your blessed.  Homeschool denim ( And I can say this because I'm homeschooled ).   Is a certain style and wash It's faded, light ,simple, ugly, and it screams I don't care enough to give any effort .

This is a crying shame and should be a crime.  In the past to dress immodestly was a crime, but now wearing this at any time should be a felony. When you get dressed (especially when going out ) You should give look of effort not because of  drawing attention to you but because of the one you serve. Now on to the "modest skirts" this is the biggest no-no.  I've seen most prominent ( I love skirts ) but this is outrageous.  Agh!!!!!! Don't ever do this again and if your best friend, enemy, mom, ever wears this (by itself) feel free to to tell them to find this post! Please you'll do us all a favor.  If you like to wear khaki skirts a polo tee's then add three, and just three things .

1. Add 4 accessories necklace, cute shoe not tennis, hair done yes hair is a top accessory,Bracelets, now I know I said three but this is one step.
2.Tuck in your shirt and make it look like a blouse not to tight but with breathing room.
3.Wear a FASHION belt  not a casual leather belt but a fashion belt bling ,sparkle, detail, bold, I really  don't care but this is something that's necessary.

When you add some effort you create a new image and appearance for yourself. And bonus  shh.. don't tell :) .You get tons of complements (gosh the secrets out now) but it's the truth. If you can agree with this post, then comment give me a holla!

Design your style

I  was just thinking about how people believe that a sloppy or very casual style is the way that all Christians dress.  And when I hear this it makes me sad to think that we portray that image of not caring about the way we are perceived by others. Now I'm not saying to become vain or and airhead ( because there are plenty of those) but your style should fit your personality. There are tons of style so I'll just name a few of my favorites, and you'll find that some are total opposites, quirky, and unique, but there all special.  Then go and find details  HERE.

"That's what makes you beautiful "

Ugh! I have big lips, a small nose, and weird ears.  There are lots of thing we call flaws, and if we don't point them out then most times others do.  But we hardly take time to recognize that these truly aren't flaws, these things are what distinguish personality, and individuality, they make us who we are.  They make me different and stand out from others. We usually take this negatively but it shouldn't be, most times people are drawn to unique, and different people because they  see past our imperfection or they see them as improvements that enhance our appearance.

Another misconception that I've noticed is that teen girls seem to think that makeup makes them beautiful or that guys won't notice them , if they don't wear it.  When this is the total opposite.  I see a lot of girls with a glob of blush, and eyeliner, and mascara, on and it looks so dark and unapproachable, when really I think they want to be noticed and look older, but it has the total opposite affect.  Makeup isn't what makes you beautiful but it enhances the god given beauty you already have.  Now I'm not anti makeup it does have it's place, but when you wear it to young or to heavy it doesn't ever look right in my opinion(which is subject to change). 13yrs and up is the right age to wear heavy eye/face makeup any younger is not mature enough,( now if you already wear makeup and am younger than 12 I'm not judging you or saying your not mature ).

What is Fashion????

SO... What is fashion. We all have some notion or idea of what fashion really means.Whether it's magazines, models, or they way celebrities dress we all have an idea of what it is.  I want to define what fashion is according to Gods standards not my assumption or thinking because I 'm nowhere near perfect, even on my good days. So according to the dictionary fashion is : etiquette, manners, style of dress, socializing, appearance, chic. And I believe that this definition is in agreement with Gods standards.
Fashion is the inside character showing to your outer appearance. And in case you didn't know that God was in to fashion, I'm telling you he is.

From my study of his word I never thought he cared about the way I dressed except what people kept telling me. The same old dress modestly...  People that are in my circles thought that this was the only part of fashion God cared about, but thank the lord it's not, he cares about the specific way and style that you dress. In Ex 28:39 he tells the priests to dress in a way that expresses beauty and glory. I love this because it not only show that God cares about the way you dress but he also wants you to do it stylishly.  Not T's and jeans all the time (even though their comfy) but shine bright for him, draw attention for him, not for your self or to become puffed up, but to glorify him.

Another assumption is that fashion is only for girls, and that guys have the excuse to slack off and not shine their brightest.  This is the biggest Lie in the history of lies that I've ever heard.  Now I know that shopping, and spending lots of time in the mirror is not most guys ideal  but you don't have to shop often to go from drab to AMAZING.  It's really not that hard but does take effort and if most of your outfits not all are graphic tee's and denim then this blog is for you (and please STOP wearing that).  Guy's I'm calling you out and dare you to to step up your wardrobe if you want to stand out from other guys and look awesome while doing it then change the way you dress.0

Ps. there are no pic's right now but are coming about post 6 or so.

PPs. If your a christian teen guy or girl and you want practical ways to honor god while looking great then this is defiantly for you.
